Struggling to make up my mind on this and would be keen to hear the opinions of ppl with more knowledge here…
I’m upgrading from an ooollllddddd specialized allez and I’ve tested (and loved) both the [Specialized Roubaix SL8 Comp](https://www.specialized.com/at/de/roubaix-sl8-comp/p/218669?color=355680-218669) and the [BMC Roadmachine X Two](https://de.bmc-switzerland.com/collections/endurance-road-bikes/products/roadmachine-x-two-bikes-bmc-24-10607-003). I’m not sure that either is quite right though:
On the one hand, I feel like with the Specialized you’re paying extra for the proprietary “Future Shock” which I don’t know that I care about; on the other hand, the Roadmachine X seems to lean more toward gravel friendly whereas I would be unlikely to ever leave the pavement (aside from probably feeling compelled to do so just by having bought the bike).
I really just want an endurance bike to rack up the miles on the road, and that’s pretty much my price point (EUR 5k max).
