Will an Ergon CF Allroad Pro 7×9 saddle rail clamp adapter work with the VCLS 2.0 seatpost?

I live in Canada, so I’m seeking some alternatives to paying another $49 CAD shipping plus whatever ludicrous ‘processing fee’ the courier will charge me for the pleasure of paying my $5 worth of customs.

I’ve heard before that this seatpost is a rebranded Ergon – so I’m curious if this much easier to find, identical-looking 7×9 rail adapter from Ergon will do the trick instead… at least then I can order from somewhere else and pick up some other stuff I need at the same time. Anyone tried this?
