  1. After [watching this video on multitools vs separate tools](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXVJXCpI1Lo), I thought the Victorinox bit model no.3.0303 driver looked like it would make a great bike tool for touring. In the past I’ve used the typical small multitools like the Topeak Mini 20. These are great for short rides, but on long tours where you have to service the bike regularly they can be bit of a nightmare. Very awkward to reach most bolts and poor torque.

The L-shaped design of the Victorinox gives you a choice between fast turns and decent torque, and it is much more pleasant to use. I combine it with a pair of Knipex pliers, and I love this combo so much I often use it to work on the bike even at home.

I added some Topeak hex bits to the Victorinox, and that goes in my little tool pouch along with a chain breaker, spoke key, tyre levers and CO2 inflator. I have a separate bag with spares like bolts, valve cores etc.

It’s not the most compact or the lightest, but these tools are so much nicer to work with on a long tour where you actually need to use them. Just wanted to recommend this setup to anyone looking for some good bike tools.
