Braking on rear brake of new-ish Merida Big Nine 600.
Just the rear brake makes this noise. Have cleaned with cloth the rotor. Have also attempted to brake hard multiple times to clear/ align.

Brakes are likely contaminated.
Does it make any noise at regular speeds?
You got some oil, grease etc on the disc brake rotor or pads. They sound contaminated. Clean the brake rotor with alcohol or brake cleaner. . Get new brake pads.
