Join two mates on a wholesome, scenic and fun adventure on bikes, as me and Oliver load up our bikes and head to the south coast of England.

Can you go bikepacking on a Cannondale CAAD13? Yes! My Frankenstein-bikepacking set-up involves a combination of bags from Restrap and Apidura, whereas Oliver – who had a much longer journey, originally starting in the north of England – went with a Tailfin set-up.

We rode from south London to Hastings via Brighton and an ill-advised overnight stop in an out-of-town Premier Inn in Newhaven. The route we used was borrowed from the Tour de Cuvee, planned by east London wine bare and shop Top Cuvée: https://www.shopcuvee.com/pages/2023-tour-de-cuvee

  1. Cant believe how much better the weather looks down there. Up here in the East Midlands it has been proper garbage. Nice to see some sun and yellow fields.
