I currently ride a hard tail (canyon exceed 2021) and am looking to enter the world of full suspension, I have the possibility to get the BMC or a Cannondale Scalpel SE 2 for pretty much the same price. the routes I do are mainly forest trails nothing too extreme but for some descents and rooty trails the canyon with the 100mm fork is not really cutting it. Also for comfort over long distance and bumpy farm tracks it would be nice to have some extra rear travel. However I also have to do quite a bit of road as well so I am still looking for something quite light. There is quite a bit of information available for the Cannondale, but I find very little for the BMC (how does it handle, is it light etc..). I would love to try them out, but that’s not really easy anywhere near me.
