yes clamping from top and bottom work with either rails
Install the new saddle loosely and see if it fits correctly. Some posts are designed so that rails of several sizes fit okay. If the rails don’t interface well, then don’t tighten it down. Those newer carbon rails on the Argo saddles are narrower than older Fizik carbon rails so it’s worth a shot.
