I love cycling in the Netherlands, it's so easy. Just hop on a bike and go, no careful planning, stress or danger required, unlike most countries.
Also, I would say that Amsterdam isn't anywhere near the best place to cycle in NL. The city centre is very busy and the cyclepaths and roads are usually narrower than in other cities. I'd like to vote for Houten as the best place to cycle in the Netherlands.
Hey here in my town we don’t have much but why didn’t the map show Assen and Roden and that at the bottom bellow Amsterdam is busy bc the Rotterdamse haven
They are not bridges they are dikes. These are part of the Delta works, the water defense system. The Delta works are considered one of the engineering and technological wonders of the world.

This is the system called ‘fietsknooppunten’ (bicycle junctions), and it’s indeed a really popular system in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
And this is designated, not using what you see most, a red strip on the road

The entire world needs to be like this, at least all the FLAT areas. Mountaineous countries will be more difficult.
I'm pretty sure people in Netherlands have never even heard of a car
