Personally, if a bike has bosses for downtube shifters, I gotta go with downtube shifters. That would be my only modification.

No such thing, all bikes are compromises in some way, and you can never really have a single bike quiver.

Cool bike, been a long time admirer of the Romanceur. Swap the GRX R mech and the brifters for an M-950 XTR and a bar end and you’ll be closer. 😉

If it’s the perfect x-bike for you then awesome. It’s a rad looking ride. My perfect x-bike would be a little different, but that’s the joy of x-biking.

Love the colour scheme. If saddle and HB were tanned, it would be too hot to handle.
