Have my chain rings had it and is it time to replace them?

Big ring certainly. The contact edges are all ramped. Small ring less so. Some mushrooming on the cassette but depends how it will play with a new chain. If you haven’t replaced the chain often, then really you’re looking at a whole new drivetrain.
