Mid-March 2023, we took the ferry from Brindisi (Italy) to Vlorë (Albania). The beginning of our Balkan adventure by bike through unknown land. What sounded to us like cycling somewhere very far away from our familiar surroundings and habits, ended up being a fantastic experience and immersion in a remote corner of Europe.
In this first part ‘cycling the Balkans’, we take you to unknown and rugged Albania, the snowy mountains of northern Macedonia and surprising Kosovo.
