This used to be a stock Leader 725, and since being fully customised, it’s been entirely resprayed with a colour shifting paint, and sealed with 2k clearcoat. Furthermore I’ve kitted the bike out with only the best components, below I go into more details
The paint shifting colours is hard to capture on camera, but best seen in the dark, I’ve included a video
The wheels are brand new, same model that leader would stock their bikes with but not branded as such, I got them off an ex showroom bike. (carbon wheelset available see later in description)
Fitted with GP5000 Tyres (excellent condition):
These are Continental’s best tyre, and will guarantee the best performance and lowest rolling resistance. I’ve also used performance latex inner tubes which significantly decrease rolling resistance
Supacaz Super Sticky Kush Bar Tape:
Wrapped the bars with brand new Supacaz bar tape, it looks and performs great
Headset:
Fitted with a fully cleaned and inspected FSA sealed headset, leading up to a Leader branded stem, finished with high performance oil slick Titanium bolts
Fizik Arione Saddle:
Made in Italy, this high end Fizik saddle is performance oriented, and although used, is in great condition and performs well
Kona Flat pedals:
High end Kona pedals with replaceable machined bolts on either side for increased grip
Bontrager Ergo Drop Bars:
A rare model that used to be used in UCI sanctioned races with a special geometry that is hard to find these days, the bar ends were also drilled to save weight.
Brand new gold KMC chain
Brand new 16t rear sprocket and lock ring
Brand new silver valve caps
The paintwork was extensive, with sections of filler, 4 layers of primer, a black base coat, 3 layers of chromacoat green, and 5 layers of 2k clear coat.
This also features fully custom Leader 725 Decals
Before restoration, the bike used to have minor dents along the top tube, these were non structural and have been smoothed over with filler, there may be some barely visible dents remaining but these struggle to appear on a picture.
I also have a set of deep rim 40mm carbon fixie wheels which I originally intended to put on this bike but didn’t in the end as they need glued tubular tyres, let me know if you’d be interested in these and I can send over some pictures.
