The climb up to Brean Down then along to the fort. Brean Down Fort was a Victorian naval fortification designed to protect the Bristol Channel. The fort was used in World War II

Roughish surface in parts, probably needs 32mm tyres or better, good brakes and a short tough climb, shared with walkers. Alternatively there are a number of steps, that walkers only can use

This is part of the Brean down way which stretches to Weston Super Mare and the mostly onroad Pier to Pier way which opens mid 2024
