I purchased a Dark Rock frame from AliExpress and built up the bike with mostly AliEx components I’ve got since 2020. Dark Rock frame, Pasak 26 inch wheels, not-Chris-King headset, Goldix crankset and bottom bracket, Sensah 9 speed shifter, derailleur, and cluster, Uno stem and seat tube, generic H bars. TRP Spyre brakes with Tektro levers. All components acquired from AliEx or used have me about $1000 in the build.
It’s a very nimble and versatile frame with minimal flex, open dropouts, and lots of bracket points. Great frame for ebike conversion.
Downsides were a small paint chip on the chain stay, below par cable routing, long shipping time due to US Customs delays, and longer fork stem due to geometry.
We’ll see how she rides over time.
