what kind of saddle are you running and how do you like it compared to the big softie that came with the bike originally? I’ve got a step-through townie and love it but am wondering if there’s a more comfy seat out there

I don’t know if people leave free things outside where you live but if you see something you like, you can now bring it home.
Add some bungee cords to your set up (throw them in your bags)-you can lash more things to your rear rack with them. [Keep in mind, old inner tubes knotted up will act as free bungee cords]
