E bikes, electronic shifting, both fine, but if you choose to purchase a product where you'll need a subscription service to use it you'll only be incentivizing these companies to continue. disengageable generators are really neat, but even permanent low output ones aré unnoticeable. i had a basic one powering some lights to keep me visible at night

You can actually buy battery's that get charged from the force of peddling, doesn't work on peddle assisted bikes tho
