Hi there, I’m currently running a cheaper Mongoose L20 which is fully steel and not great. Im looking to upgrade to this great value BMX my friend is selling. He’s selling it for £200 but has over £800 on it. Only Q is that he is 5’4/5’5 I’m about 5’2 with shoes and my current BMX has a top tube of 20.25 while this has 21.25. Is it still worth it to get it? Im used to bigger bikes and would last me years and it’s extremely light at around 9kg. This bike is specifically the mongoose Title Elite Pro XL 2020. Thanks !

That’s a race bike you’re looking at
I mean race bmx tt lengths are a different kettle of fish to freestyle really. Even your height for a race frame is 20” so it’ll still seem big. Obviously fine for pump track and race use, but no good for anything else. There’s a reason fs bikes aren’t as light as their race cousins, strength
I built my bike slowly over time to make it sort of racey. 21.5 top tube, front load stem, and 9.2 rise bars. Check out @just_another_biker on instagram. Hes got a setup you might be interested in mimicking!
