Hello, i currently ride a ghost kato 4 2017 with coil sprung rockshox 30 tkl poplock and 27,5 wheels with a 3 x 9 drivetrain and i’ve found this bike which is a ghost kato from 2018 but has way better parts like a fox 32 out of 2016 apparently (matched with images not completely sure) and a 1×12 drivetrain and a dropper (which is a bit slow though) for 550 euro now my own drivetrain is worn and to convert or replace i will be spending at least 100 euro to 250 if i want to go to 1×11. But i have size m now and it’s a size L so idk if i am still going to grow since i am 178 cm which is a bit small according to ghost bikes it’s 180-190 according to them in 2016 but yeah i am a bit unsure because it has a weld in it which is said to be done professionally and repainter but he is selling this a month after being repaired and only 2 test rides so i think that’s why he is selling the bike. And the dropper is a bit slow dont know if it is just dirt inside or the weld putting pressure on it. You can see its the weld on the right of the seat tube which is a bit thicker where it had a crack which i am not sure how it came there. Thanks for helping out in advance. It is listed for 550 euro but my fathers friend (which owns a metal company and does welds) said offer 300 and hope it doesn’t break again. I would avoid. If it broke once that means it wasn’t strong enough to begin with, and the repair is almost definitely less strong than the original construction. There are lots of bikes without questionable frames.
