Düsseldorf – Lüttich – Eindhoven: Three little birds on a bike packing tour with the BACKROAD

Our partners in crime @elflamingofilms said they wanted to do a bike packing gravel tour and we were like: “Haha, you birds! We’ll give you the bikes – you provide the story!”

Johannes, Fritz und Constantin are united as colleagues in their day-to-day work. In between all the filming, they came up with the idea of going on a cycling tour together. If you can work together, you should be able to survive a tour together – right?

The idea: Exploring three countries by bike in 72 hours. There was one rule for this short trip: set off without a big plan. The journey was accompanied by the protagonists with the camcorder and filmed by themselves. No big film crew. The reduction to the essentials was clearly the focus here.

Three countries, three tapes, three hours of material. From Düsseldorf, they took the direct route towards Aachen via Kelmis with the first destination of the journey: Liege / Liège. The time of arrival and the overnight stays were neither planned nor booked in advance. The next morning they continued in the direction of Eindhoven. Apart from the destination and the order of fries, nothing was planned or scheduled. From the Netherlands they headed back towards Düsseldorf. Not knowing what will happen on the last days.
