The journey took me from home to Lake Del Valle in Livermore, California, which is particularly gorgeous this time of year. While I’m big on ultralight backpacking and dabble in gravel biking, I didn’t have any specialized Bikepacking gear, so perhaps I went “bike backpacking” rather than Bikepacking. My 8.4lb (3.8kg) base weight felt just right for the trip.

Yeah man. I’ve never bike camped with others. But I love my solo trips. Carrying everything you need on a bike is a dope feeling.
All you would really have to do is add more water to your bike and buy a behind the seat bag to fit your gear. I can suggest the revelate splinelock 16L bag. It fits my tent, stove, clothes, some food, nanopuff, maybe a towel. Just enough to keep me going by just replenishing food.
