so i was riding with my friends and then i turned and my peg collided with his tire and his spokes popped out of place. they are bent and i would like to know if repairing it would be the best option. Also, the tire now turns side to side, which i am guessing is from the spokes breaking, but if its another reason, please lmk.

Rim looks fucked. The spoke nipples pulled through. It’s possible to rebuild with the same hub, most of the same spokes, and new nipples, but I wouldn’t bother. Just get a new complete wheel and transfer over the tire and tube.
What did they do? They ripped the spokes right out of the rim
Looks like it just needs to be replaced. When the spoke nipple pulled through the rim it widened the hole too much.
