I have an Allez as well that I use for sport rides rather than commuting; I’ve seen the rack mounts on the seat stay but I never thought about using the Specialized seat collar instead for the rack!

Before I got my Marin commuter I rode my allez everywhere. I can’t even begin to imagine how many miles I’ve put on it. Great bike for sure.

I pretty regularly would use one of the legs of the commute as a training ride and since most of those workouts are power based intervals I would ride my Tarmac with the power meter. So not sneaky fast, it was just my fast bike.
