It’s a ritchey ultra, not a hard rock. Yes there is a market and that market has zero clue what is “xbiking”, a 1991 vgc Team Marin just sold for 800 pounds on retrobike.

I would expect this for a higher-end bike like a Ritchey. Japanese made frame (Toyo) with details hand brazed by Tom Ritchey, and no corner cutting on components. If anything, the seller is showing restraint by selling it at market value.

Ritchey has a big legacy and following. I’m a fan of Ritchey bikes and components. I probably wouldn’t pay that much for a vintage mtb, but I’d definitely shell that and more for a frame built by the man himself.
