Hello all,

I recently bought what I thought was an immaculate revolt 1 used. I could hear some slight grinding on the gears at the rear and thought it was indexing, so have been learning a bit online, went out to try and noticed the shape of the frame. I’m afraid to ask really, but I can’t think why it would be designed like this.. is this distorted? And if so, how in the world does a bike that looks new get this way with no signs of damage, and it is fixable?

Thanks in advance 😬

Is your chain new? New chains can cause some noise or grinding sounds. Stripping off the factory grease helps a lot but some new chains need to be broken in.

Also the factory grease is there against rusting. It is sticky and a bad lubricant and is best to remove completely first and apply your chain lube (on the rollers and wipe off excess)
