Hi! I have been looking for a bike ever since my single-speed got stolen. I came across this on Marketplace and it seems promising, though I do not have the knowledge to tell whether it really is a good deal. Please help a brother out! I truly appreciate your advice! 🙂
The seller seems knowledgeable and provided a detailed description of the bike. He even attached a video that shows the parts of the bike close up. He also says that after getting the bike second-hand, he brought it to Sporting Life and paid $200 to replace the tubes and tires, plus tuning. He even bought a cog for the cassette himself separately from the States and let Sporting Life install it for him.
He refuses to lower the price, not even for a bit! But if it is a good deal, I am happy to take it.

My advice is no. That’s WAY too high for that bike… for $340 you can get a much better quality steel road frame with a higher quality groupset attached. I would sit this example around the $125 range and no higher.
I don’t want to rain on your parade, this will work… but I really do feel that you can get a much better value for your dollar.
Is there a ‘community bike shop’ anywhere near you? They can be an excellent resource and may also have options available.
