I’ve decided to get a bmx bike so I can go riding with my son who is just learning to ride.
I bought him a new Verde Vectra 18”
For myself I found a used 2016 We The People Atlas 24. After looking online at 24” and 26” bike I thought this would be the best option. And what an opportunity to have a higher end bike.
But the problem for me is the seat height. I guess I didn’t realize my knees would be in my chest when pedaling from a seated position.
I’m looking to get a longer seat post for more height but not sure if this would be a good idea.
It’s been 30 years since I’ve ridden a bmx, and did road cycling for a while which I really enjoyed.
Thoughts?

I’ve been doing the same with my son learning to ride and eventually I’ll get some small park stuff done I got a longer framed 20inch you can get seat post extender I’ve seen but with me going to do some small park stuff I have decided to just run the seat at just in from max level and do abit of standing up sitting down when riding with him
Oh and sweet looking bike by the way 😎
I have the redline asset 24. Such a fun bike for cruising with the kiddos.
