I have a Canyon Spectral 2020 CF8 and both my wheels are dt swiss m1700 spline wheels.
My rear rim cracked so I bought a new wheel off ebay, I bought a boost format wheel since I figured my wheel was boost format. Upon buying the wheel, I tried putting the wheel in without a cassette or a brake disk and it fit (see picture below) so I figured it was good. But after installing the cassette and brake disk of the old wheel onto the knew, thing are misaligned and the diameter of the axle seems to be a bit too large. Since the new wheel has an EX 471 rim, I was looking to reuse it, but I’m no quite sure what size Freehub to buy because I don’t want the same fitment issues. I can’t use the old Freehub becaude it only has 28 spokes and the one has 32. I think the old hub is smaller but with special caps to fit my bike? If anyone can help me figure out my problem and what new Freehub to buy that would be appreciated. I’ve provided pictures of the issues described and the spacing from the end of the hub to the disk mounting holes and Freehub body.
