This bike started off as a $50 Craigslist find, which I envisioned to be my commuter after a modest refresh. My intent was to keep any updates restricted to deep discount sale items, bike coop parts bin finds, and take offs. I stuck to that rule, though I feel like the crankset was a little overboard despite it being a take-off from another bike. One other nitpick is that I would have preferred a more utilitarian set of tires, but I had the Homage tires lying around from another abandoned project and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of selling them. All that said, it rides well so I’m pleased with the build. I’ll add a basket and fenders at some point.

The combo of the Sim Works tires, matching tape, and white grips is so good
