Was casually looking at frames/bikes on PinkBike and came across a new track frame being sold by a shop in Vermont, was the last one of their stock of this color, and it was a great deal. Couldn’t pass on it. Told myself I would just piece it together over time as a budget build… or not. Kept the parts affordable, but didn’t want to skimp, I’m very happy with the frame and generally happy with the build, I just need to tweak my bar setup. I’m not liking the hoods like I thought I would. Also left a good bit of steer tube before I dial my fit, will probably be chopping a bit more of that off in the coming weeks as I change up the bars. I find myself riding almost exclusively in the drops in the current setup, so I can certainly afford to bring that stem down to use more hand positions.
Also, I got a radar finally, that’s pretty fun. If you have never used a radar commuting outside of dense urban traffic, its lovely having my computer tell me when cars are coming up behind me.
