Recently I ordered some handlebars from DIYCarbonBikes. They showed up in the pictured condition, with clear carbon damage/quality issues. I contacted the founder Ty and he assured me if I shipped the bars back I would be refunded for the bars and shipping. I shipped the bars back and waited 2 weeks, emailing every 3 business days or so to see if there had been any updates. Ty replied maybe once or twice and said the refund was “being processed”. Eventually, I disputed the charge with my credit card company to get my money back. Clearly this is a company that does not stand behind their products (Ty told me these bars were fine to use as is) and are going to be a headache to deal with customer service wise.

Don’t have a dog in this fight. From a business standpoint, taking all of the time and effort to create a company and yet here is the public result.
Taking care of your customers is the simplest most common sense thing that you can do.
