This video has it all – in just a few minutes I caught one driver who got disqualified, a nice woman who begged me not to report her, a PHV driver on his phone, a road raging angry loudmouth telling me to get on the cycle path and a disdainful and arrogant cabbie who swore at me.
So many drivers, when caught, come up with stuff like this Mercedes driver “My Nan’s got cancer.” How is that an excuse for driving on the phone? If he was disqualified, then it seems the magistrates didn’t think it was a suitable excuse either.
As for my positioning in the road on occasion – it’s not much different than the motorcyclists filtering past, this is a 20mph road so there’s no danger, and why be in such a rush when you’re about to spend five or ten minutes in the queue at the other end of the road anyway.

As someone recently diagnosed with cancer, I'd be pretty peed if a family member used my diagnosis as an excuse for breaking the law.

The passenger in that taxi should be getting out and getting a new cab. If he is angry with Mikey for reporting dangerous driving which can be responsible for very serious consequences he isn’t a safe person to be riding with. Almost certainly he’s used a phone while driving. Never mind his foul language. A real yuk.
It's good to see that the professional drivers i.e. cabbies are not on the phone. If they're in a car for ten hours and can resist the phone, everyone can. I drove a cab for ten years and I'm proud of the professionalism of most black cab drivers. Always get a black cab.
