    Anyway. As this is bicycle touring, you’ll probably have people doing long slow rides here. The generic advice for endurance sports though is: train slow but train a lot. You usually want to reach the point where you can still talk/sing almost normally but if you were to go faster, it would become challenging. No faster than that pace. Three rides a week is great, you can do plenty more if you enjoy it and if you have the time.

    If you’re not doing the following already: be safe, wear a helmet/high-vis, learn to fix common issues, record your rides (Strava is a common app to use).
