Measure the distance between the center of two holes across from eachother. That’s the Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD) of the 4-bolt chainring you need to buy.

It would also need to be a “narrow wide” chainring and preferably a rear derailleur with a clutch. This will dramatically reduce chain drops. You can also just use a chain guide but that’s not going to be as reliable imo.

That is an XT M760 crankset. Use 4×104 bolt pattern. I would get a Wolf Tooth chainring:
FYI you don’t have to spend a lot on a chainring. Deckas narrow/wide from Amazon will do the job. You may want to keep some money in your pocket for if/when you want to try a different sized chainring.
