I needed to bring my 2yo son to the daycare because our car was broken. On my old Orbea i used an Kid seat for the frame without any Problems. So i installed it to my Grizl AL. In the description it said i need to tighten the screws to 8nm. So i used 6 nm to not fuck up my frame. Well you see above what happened.
Its an aluminium frame, and i read online that you can still use it with those dents. But i want to ask the professionals here for advice. My wife won’t allow me to replace the frame i think. So i hope i can drive with those dents.
Thank you!

I unwittingly rode for about 3 months with a cracked carbon seat tube due to a gorilla over tightening the derailleur band.
Not ideal, but I reckon this’ll be ok.
You can still ride it until big issues come out. I would say it’s pretty safe.
Probably fine. But yeah not ideal. It’s probably the weight of the kid+seat that did it vs the clamping. But that’s just my guess. Usually a light clamp alone wouldn’t do this.
Wondering if you could fix that with an airbag/pump down the seat tube and a hairdryer on the dented area for a few mins…
