Has there ever been a more controversial bike part? I hated these things back when they came out, and looking back now, I hate them even more! The thought of riding a set of forks that already looked bent, would give me so much anxiety mid air lol. Also, they looked terrrrible. No hate on Odyssey, their stuff is the best. But sometimes you just miss on a product.
Anyone ever have a set?

I owned them forever and loved them. So light!

But also had SO MANY PEOPLE ask or say “Yer ferks r bent” or “aren’t those flatland forkz”. Sure, if you’re a bigger rider that does bigger stuff, you’re going to break them, but I wasn’t that person. I sold them last year to a buddy who’s still riding them.

  2. They also weren’t as strong as their cs2 fork, sold plenty of pairs but also had plenty broken back.
Tbh the idea has merit, but bmx also has an aesthetic that it has to look right, and if it doesn’t and said item isn’t an improvement then it’s dropped from the range pretty quickly. Odyssey had quite the era of trying all kinds of new ideas, not all of them worked, but it was at least interesting. We’ve barely seen anything new in quite some time from any brands.

  3. Holy shit, I think I had a friend that ordered these and sent them back because they were bent. I never knew that’s actually just how they were

  4. Bought a compete bike on ebay back in like ’08 with them. Still have them on my S&M frame now but haven’t ridden in years….

And to agree with the other dude, sooooo many people would tell my forks were bent.

  5. I have a black set right now that’s new in box. Also had a set of purple rain directors a couple years ago. Caved and sold them to a friend that just kept raising his price until I couldn’t say no. I actually like them a lot haha

I’ve never seen those before but immediately vomited in my mouth a bit. I’m glad this post is complaining about them cause… yeesh

  7. My buddy has a subrosa built up with every single black rain limited colorway odyssey part they make, including directors. It’s a really rad bike

I always wondered why BMX bikes had drop outs and did not just put the wheel at the end of the fork.

    But now I see why.
