Took a few hours and some hand cramps, but they’re good enough for me now. I will do anything to avoid buying some Bucklos/JGBike etc stuff. No hate on that stuff, ive never owned it. it’s just so satisfying cleaning up something old or original to use instead.

I polished a set of old shimanos, and they came out great. Aluminum is a great material for bike parts, I’ve buffed out scratches in old derailleurs too.
They do scuff fairly easily after polishing though.
