Hard to believe this was allowed to happen, the Irish are a strong proud people not afraid of a fight. Luckily gypsies have very little power or influence over there compared to Italy or France. I spent a week travel to the biggest cities in Ireland 5 years ago and I only saw 1 old lady gypsy trying the free rose scam. I did the right thing and helped out the young woman who excepted the rose, with one real threat of violence the young woman walked way with the rose and did not have to pay
