Any ideas why my rear axle keeps slipping when trying to tighten all the way? Without the wheel, the axle tightens perfectly fine. Once I put on the wheel, it’s as if the axle can’t reach the full way. Driving me nuts

The dropout threads maybe partially stripped. Take the axle out and exam the threads with a torch. You need full engagement of threads. Luckily you can replace the dropout to rectify the issue if they are stripped.
