not the best pics but i just got this bike & bought this retrospec basket (which i thought was kind of cheap seeming but i liked the detachable element of it) and i’ve noticed it tilts forward and drags on my front wheel especially when it has stuff in it. max capacity is 15lbs (is that average? it seems low) but i haven’t reached it and it’s still tilting. any tips? do i have it on wrong? besides this it’s been a great really useful basket so i’d hate to have to get rid of it

does your fork have a place you could attach a strut that would support the basket from the bottom?
These baskets typically have legs that you attach to your forks.
I don’t see this model on their website.
Without a third point of attachment they will just hang from your handlebars and flop around.
If this one doesn’t work out, consider getting a wald basket with “legs.”

The lower bracket needs to be tied to your frame and not your stem. This will give the system more strength.

I would go with a fixed basket with legs and a removable bag like this one
