– All City Gorilla Monsoon, GRX RD and brakes, SLX cranks, Shutter Precision Dynamo hub + DT Swiss 350 rear hub laced to DT Swiss 471 27,5“ rims
– Continental Raceking 2.2 ProTection tires with tubes (did not want to search for a compressor upon arrival for tubeless setup) – had zero punctures, the rear tire shows some wear after 2500km
– 32t Garbaruk chainring x 11-46t SLX cassette: worked quite well, one more mountain gear would have been nice as always
– Pelago commuter front rack stainless medium
– Cycle2Charge usb loader: did actually charge my powerbank for about 1 phone charge and 1 garmin charge per normal day
Sleep system:
– Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo
– 5 year old Mountain Hardwear Lamina Z Flame 0°C
– Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Xlite
– Exped Air Pillow UL
I had a longer stretch of windy 0°C nights and the sleep system was too cold for this, even with lots of clothes on. I would have needed either a warmer double wall shelter, a bivy, or a significantly warmer sleeping bag. When the night temps were around 5°C everything was fine again.
That aside, I really like the Lunar Solo for the panorama view, the generous amount of space inside, the easy setup, and the feeling of beeing close to nature, despite the obvious downsides of a not freestanding, airy UL shelter. I did not set it up in really bad winds without wind protection, but it survived some serious gusts nevertheless. As long as there was a bit of wind, there was no problem with condensation.
Left pannier (Ortlieb Sportroller):
– Sleeping bag
– pillow
– spare gas cartridge
– Kindle
– sleeping clothes
– Led Lenser ML4 lantern (greath thingy! Makes every tent spot or refugio instantly more comfy)
Right pannier (Ortlieb Sportroller):
– Toaks 1100ml titanium pot with gas cartridge, cartridge stand, MSR Pocket Rocket 2, big lighter, sponge inside the pot bag
– drybag with food for cooking (black),
– drybag for charging cables, spare eneloops and chargers (orange),
– headlight
– first aid kit
– emergency bivy
– repair stuff (tent pole repair segment, patches for tent and thermarest, yarn and needles, that kind of stuff)
