  1. I just looked at the analytics on this video, and the average watch time is right around the six minute mark. Please watch through this entire video as there is quite a lot of information in this. We are only clocking an extra nine minutes. We very much appreciate this.

  2. Seriously…… Governments really need to phoque off and let us fend for ourselves and be responsible for our own actions. I'd be willing to bet the woman's own negligence in failing to wear a helmet was a major contributing factor to her injuries causing death. Yes the ebike rider could be wholely at fault for the crash ultimately causing her death but I'd bet dollars to donuts a helmet would have saved her life. These knee-jerk responses to any incident is just a response to do something, anything to say "we responded, look what we did to make you safer."

  3. No matter how you look at it there's vehicle accidents every day doesn't matter if it's a boat an airplane a car or a motorcycle s*** happens that's life you start following all these Banning laws there won't be a country left everyone will be a snowflake and what does that say for having a strong country pretty bad when you have weak Minds

  4. welcome to the club of "banned" two wheel vehicles. I feel for the people that have these Surrons etc. they will have no where to go. so as a duel sport rider, I would appreiate if Bicyclists give us some leeway since they took our trails away from us too.

  5. Not a popular opinion, but registration with a license plate and an operator permit for any motorized transportation is not a bad idea.
Most of the idiots you see on bikes and ebikes act that way because they're anonymous. They don't have to drive at reasonable speeds or stop at stop signs, or have any reguard for anyone else because nobody knows who they are.
Hang a license plate on it and any stupid behavior filmed by a random cell phone could result in the cops showing up at your door. It's the entire reason that cars and boats, and airplanes have identifying numbers on them and while it doesn't eliminate bad behavior, it certainly limits it a lot.
An E-bike or electric skateboard or monowheel can't cause the same sort of damage as a car or motorcycle so you could probably get by without liability insurance, but if you hit somebody and injure them, you're still identified and still liable even if you can't afford it.
As for the operator permit, it doesn't have to be that difficult. Basic rules of the road type stuff that you can learn and pass in an afternoon. It's main purpose is to identify the rider and make them liable for their actions.

As a 62 year old man I've seen a lot of hobbies become regulated as a result of idiots including snowmobiles, ice boats, dirt bikes, drones, and plenty of others. And there's a lot more idiots with spare money than there were 40 years ago. (only now they want to be even dumber so they can get views on YouTube)

  6. Great vid. An ebike with a throttle is still just an ebike though. 25 kph under throttle or by pedal is the exact same physics.
I have a RIZE MD with 120 NM motor, 500 watts that allows me to go 50 kph. It's still just a bike though. Inappropriate speeding and inconsiderate riding, was and is, the problem. Not the machine.

  7. Many pedestrians have been killed by regular bikes for years. They never even considered totally banning riders. The just want to charge people because insurance companies like life insurance must pay out.

  8. Just bruised nerves of disgruntled Segway ghost.
Spending $6,500 for something they couldn't ride.
So the one time many felt taken advantage of leaves a psychological burden on the shoulders of many unassociated advancements in society.
    Where being regulated by ghost.
Like drones.we must adapt back into a more rapidly flexible era of regulation.
Where we can understand a few ounces over but demand dictates we move the bar for the overall best interest for society in a positive direction not a dictatorial one.
    Shop weasel

  9. So do you think a motorized vehicle (e-bike) should be on bike trails? What about licensing for motorcycles. Are e-bikes electric mopeds or motorcycles? Can mopeds go on bike trails? If not, why not? There seems to be a lot to work out. Honestly are they dangerous? Do they need regulation?

  10. It's far too late to mitigate the trend of e-bike bans given how run amok manufacturers were allowed to bring just about anything that barely qualifies as a bicycle to market over the last few years and almost no penalty to riders who choose to ignore pre-existing e-bike laws. The same thing happened with the FAA's drone regulations which led to most cities banning model aircraft and misapplying unrealistic rules to hobbyists flying remote control airplanes and gliders, who had been operating safely for over 80 years in the U.S. without incident. Sadly, technology moved too quickly for regulations to keep pace and once the headlines of incidents (in the case of bikes crashes & deaths) become more common, more cities, counties, states will tighten and enforce regulations that apply to anything that looks threatening or could cause them liability. I am a pedal biker. My wife enjoys riding a legal pedal assist e-bike and I am 100% a fan. If I was a teenager and had access to something that could travel near motorcycle speeds which was loosely categorized as an e-bike and could skirt the law without penalty, I would probably ride one too. Ironically, the area in which I mountain bike on a frequent basis had banned 'motorized vehicles' of any type long before e-bikes came into the picture, yet half the riders out there are on an e-bike and the rule is unenforceable by local rangers. What is the value of a law, code, or rule if nobody abides by it and no one is around to enforce it? 🤷‍♂
