I found out before making the deal, seller was unaware. We agreed on €25 for the parts (decent deal IMHO) All other parts are in decent condition. I might use the groupset to build up another bike

I think you might be able to get it fixed .
my condolences. The fork still looks good, lots of other nice bits on it. The frame should be hanging in a swank pizza place, bike shop/espresso joint/bakery. It is a pretty, interesting and unusual frame.

i usually see this when rainwater gets in a bike and freezes over the winter. lots of wrecked chainstays
