Hi – I am tying myself in knots on this. I understand the price difference between the two is built very much on the groupSet and carbon Wheelset available on the SLX.
But is there a tangible difference in the frames? (Ignoring the frame storage) – is the carbon layup better? Does the ride feel better with the frame? Or is the CF SL frame set just as good but without the frame storage gimmick (therefore lower cost to produce) ?
Context – I cannot decide between the two! The lower entry price of the CF SL is clearly tempting with the potential to then upgrade the Wheelset in the future.
Or does the CF SLX present great value with a better quality frameset alongside the carbon Wheelset and electronic group?
