Hello everyone and welcome back to the fluctus Channel containerization has played a pivotal role in Globalization facilitating the global exchange of manufactured goods raw materials and agricultural Products the first container ship the ideal X was built in 1956 containerization quickly caught on and by the 1970s container ships had become the dominant mode of cargo shipping containership design is a complex and specialized field that involves a wide range of engineering disciplines including Naval architecture Structural Engineering mechanical engineering and electrical Engineering the hull is typically made of steel and it must be strong enough to withstand the stresses of the ocean and the weight of the Cargo Its shape design is important for hydrodynamics as it can affect the ship’s speed and fuel Efficiency container ship design testing is a comprehensive process that involves a series of rigorous evaluations to ensure the ship’s safety efficiency and compliance with International regulations scale model testing is an essential part of the containership design process allowing designers to evaluate the performance of a ship’s Hull and other components in a controlled
Environment before committing to full-scale Construction stability tests evaluate the ship’s equilibrium under various loading conditions including different Hull configuration ballast arrangements and wave heights During tests the Hull’s hydrodynamic performance such as resistance speed and fuel efficiency is typically conducted in Towing tanks or wave tanks wave Basin testing offers a unique opportunity to observe the behavior of a ship in a controlled environment that replicates the for and conditions it will encounter at C wave Basin testing and cfd simulation are complimentary tools that play a crucial role in the ship design Process wave Bas and testing provides real world data on the behavior of of a ship in a controlled Environment at the same time cfd simulation allows designers to explore a wider range of design options and predict the ship’s performance under various Conditions cfd software utilizes Advanced mathematical model models to simulate the flow of fluids around the Ship the construction of a container ship begins with the procurement of highquality Steel plates meticulously cut and shaped to form the ship’s Hull super structure and cargo Holdt Specialized machinery and skilled workers assemble the vessel’s modules ensuring its structural integrity and Stability the propulsion system including diesel engines and generators is installed powering the ship and its essential systems with electrical cables routed bringing life to the vessel with illumination communication and power Distribution outfitting and testing follow and ensuring the ship’s Readiness for its maiden Voyage finally The Vessel undergos rigorous sea trials validating its performance and certifying its Seaworthiness upon completion the container ship is delivered ready to embark on its Journey ACR acoss the globe carrying the world’s goods and connecting Nations before a cargo ship is deemed ready for commercial service it undergos a rigorous set of sea trials a series of comprehensive tests conducted in open Waters to evaluate its performance efficiency and safety these trials are crucial in ensuring that the ship meets all regulatory standards and is capable of safely traversing the
Oceans these usually consist of four phases seaworthiness tests propulsion tests load simulation tests and navigation systems tests containers play a crucial role in global trade transporting goods over vast distances to ensure their safety and Integrity containers undergo rigorous testing at various stages of their life cycle from manufacturing to transportation and Handling the container’s frame and other structural components are subjected to rigorous tests like impact load tests to verify their strength and durability This includes checking welts ensuring water tightness and measuring loadbearing capacity the container’s resistance to twisting forces is evaluated to ensure it can withstand the rigors of handling and transport this is particularly important for containers that will be stacked or transported over rough terrain Gantry cranes are essential components of modern ports and terminals
Handling the movement of containers and other heavy cargo container loading at ports is a complex and multifaceted operation that involves a series of coordinated activities to ensure the efficient movement of cargo the process typically begins with the arrival of a container ship at the the Port Terminal once the ship is docked cranes
Are used to lift containers off of the ship and place them onto specialized trailers or straddle Carriers these vehicles transport the containers to the stacking yard stacked according to their destination and shipping schedules the cranes carefully maneuver the containers into position and ensure they are securely stowed in the cargo Holdt the efficient arrangement of containers and Port is a crtical critical aspect of container handling operations proper stacking helps maximize warehouse space reduces handling times and minimizes the risk of damage to Containers containers are typically stacked in rows and columns with designated aisles for the movement of forklift trucks and other equipment the height of the stacks is limited by the strength of the containers and the stability of the stacking frames smart air rail container Transport Systems are a revolutionary new technology that utilizes conveyor
Belts suspended from a network of elevated tracks to to transport containers over long distances within ports and terminals the elevated tracks provide the pathway for the conveyor belts ensuring a smooth and stable Journey for containers Advanced control and monitoring systems manage the movement of containers ensuring they follow the designated routs and avoid Collisions The Long Beach Container Terminal has partnered with Navas a provider of Maritime software solutions to create the first fully automated Container Terminal in the United States Navas operating systems provides realtime visibility and control of terminal operations optimizing the movement of containers and reducing Congestion stacking cranes automatically stack and retrieve containers reducing the need for manual labor and improving safety with agvs transporting containers between the ship yard and other terminals eliminating the need for Forklifts the port of ANP is one of the busiest ports in the world handling over 23 million containers annually and a major hub for global trade connecting Europe to the rest of the world the port is well equipped to handle all types of cargo including containers bulk cargo and liquid Bulk this infrastructure and strong connectivity allow for efficient handling of cargo leading to Shorter transit times and lower costs for shippers the ANP container Port system is a vital asset for the port of antp allowing it to handle the increasing volume of container traffic in the years to Come container ships will likely become larger and more fuel efficient in the future using alternative fuels such as LNG and Hydrogen Robotics and automation will be used to improve the efficiency of cargo handling and reduce labor Costs that’s the end of this video I hope you enjoyed it make sure to subscribe to this channel so you don’t miss any of our new content see you next time

when under initial construction, and the ships new engines tested when they are installed in the ship?
Cool video!
But I gotta say, the port in my Lego City Display will only be accepting diesel and coal driven ships and ocean liners, as well as having a strict ban on robotic automation, thus helping the minifig workers keep their jobs, and improving the minifig customer experience.
That’s just my take on it though, as I prefer my energy coming from clean burning coal and oil, and not having to deal with a bunch of lifeless droids who are incapable of understanding why a customer is angry their shipping container arrived without its contents.
Anyways, enjoy!

Wonderful video!!
What men do is extraordinary! We are not like the other creatures of the Earth. I cannot express how awed I am with everything that goes into shipping, especially the ingenuity. The scale of what we do is incomprehensible.
Is 4:02 considered a save environment?
I love big machinery ❤.
Once again the testing of the ships is a very small part of this clip!!!!😢
Saya ingin merancang kapal besar anti gelombang tsunami, jadi sebesar apapun gelombang tidak akan tenggelam.
Caranya memainkan gaya gravitasi tekanan air (gelombang) terhadap benda (kapal).🚢🛳️⛴️
Bullshit lies
I was waiting for the “maximum rudder deflection at flank speed” test.
The steel used to build ships and submarines is called Maraging steel.
4:02 not a good move lol
Boring content
Wow, they are making the superstructure not as wide like in the past to gain more shipping tonnage.
What % of containers are 'lost overboard' each year? How many companies went bust due to this? Lead times destroyed as valuable items gone forever! Insurance won't cover lost customers!
Kapal cargo yang super canggih
