While I’m generally not the type to seek validation from strangers, I was curious to learn the consensus behind Giro helmets in the BMX community.
As a 31 year old ex-motocrosser, my brain cannot handle any more concussions; so a MIPS helmet for $70 almost seemed like a no-brainer to me, but I think it’s quite fair to say that these helmets usually find themselves on the heads of mountain bikers in a forest, not BMX riders at the skatepark.
The alternative to this helmet would likely be to bend knee to the social norm and pay $80+ for a Shadow Conspiracy.
Any opinions are valued!

I split my time between my ebike to commute, and BMX when I get home, my MIPS helmet ain’t near as cool as that one, it looks like a ProTec but with better protection
I have one of these. Like the other comment, I ride an ebike for my commute and bmx for fun. I only want one helmet, and this seemed like a good fit for both activities.
Same situation here. I’m thinking of going with the POC Crane MIPS when I can find the black one on sale.
