I was trying to remove the rear thru axle on my Canyon Grail and somehow it required a lot of force, so l rather gave up. After examining the bike I realised that when trying to remove the axle, the rear derailleur (with UDH) has been moved clockwise (see picture). I am not sure whether I have not done any damage to the rear dropouts by applying too much force and do not know how to proceed further.

Were you doing something other than unscrewing using the handle (on the other side of the axle)? Like it was hard to pull it out once unscrewed?
Why ist the rear Deralieur pointing upwards like that?
That’s not the axle. It’s on the other side
Hold up. Shouldn’t the axle on these bikes be removed from the non drive side?
