    This is my first MTB Frame bought in the years between 1990-1995. It is a 26″ hardtail frame from NICOLAI, Germany. The “ARGON” frame was made to my body dimensions. I used to ride it with an internal Gear Hub from Rohloff and a rockshox Judy back then.

    After many years I changed to a fully but I never let the frame go. With my wife getting a gravel bike lately, I remembered my first frame and mixed it with some new components:

    * Chinese Carbon fork
    * Chinese Carbon handle bar
    * Magura RT6T road racing handled (Hydraulic rims brakes) combined with Shimano GSX 400/600 breake calipers
    * Ultegra 1-10 shift operted with Micro shift lever
    * Frame self pained in flip flop color
    * Handle bar tape (Shinese) matching flip flop frame color
    * DT Swiss 27,5″ gravel rims
    * ’40 wide tires

    Saddle needs adjustment may be a llittle more backwards….

    It’s usually a hardtail if it has suspension forks (soft front/hard tail). What you have is a conventional fork/frame.

    Nice resurrection of your Nicolai! How is the body positioning? Not too stretched I hope. Looks awesome!
