When was it serviced last? What model headset? Probably servicing it is a good start unless that was just done.

I just bought the headset from a bike shop and they put it in for me, does the headset need to be greased? they didn’t grease it so i thought it doesn’t need to, if it needed to be greased how and where to grese it?

I had this same problem or similar, I kept hearing this same creaking noise, lbs built the bike I took it back they greased everything well almost everything lol.. I took the bike home and same thing. I took it back and this time they figured it out. It wasn’t coming from the front it was just echoing to the front.. it was something to do with the seat post. Not sure what they did but no more creaking. Good luck!! This noise was driving me crazy
