I’m 6’0 tall and a beginner to mountain biking. I’m looking to find a good used bike for a decent price that I can use for a little while and eventually upgrade. I know this a older bike so i’m looking for honest feedback, advice and questions.
Thanks!

No. That shit is antique.
If they gave that to me it would be on the curb the next day.
$150-$200 tops!
I wouldn’t ride that of it was given to me
Not familiar with the market where you are, but you should be able to do better for the money. That bike was pretty decent spec when it was new, but it’s very dated now and almost all major components are no longer current standard (i.e. 26″ wheels, non-tapered head tube/fork, 3x drivetrain) not to mention the ‘brain’ rear shocks are difficult and costly to service, if you can find anyone that’ll touch it in the first place. Upgrading in future would mean buying something newer rather than modding this one.
Lotta hate in here. OP, if you buy it and need someone to service the suspension, DM me. It’s old, the parts are out dated but if you need something to ride, I can think of way worse bikes to buy for $500.
No
Beater bar bike that I would pay maybe $150 for and not feel bad about leaving it downtown drunk
No, the rear suspension is an old proprietary design that would cost more to service than the bike is worth, and with how old it is it definitely needs a service.
