I want a rack bag that will be held on the rack very solidly as I have a lot of bumpy roads near me, does anyone have experience with Velcro straps? I’ve had poor experience with a frame bag before and I can’t decide between this which also unzips to have panniers or just regular side hook panniers

For a solidly attached trunk bag I would suggest getting one of the “system” racks (KlickFix, Topeak MTX, MIK etc)/ adapter for existing rack and getting a bag for that system as well.
For example, for every DXP trunk bag from Topeak there’s a matching MTX bag which can be combined with an MTX adapter plate.
I have a slightly different model and have never had any issues with the velcro.
Highly recommend getting the MTX rack version of this (you can get rack adapters if needed). Oh and make sure you get the fold out panniers, it’s the most versatile bike bag I own.
